Veterinarian Overview
Dr Sharon Lachette is a native of White Haven PA. She grew up with 3 brothers who all helped run the family business, the East Side Inn bar and restaurant. She received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Medical Technology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA and her Veterinary Medicine Degree (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia. Before becoming a veterinarian, she worked as a medical technologist for several years in Pennsylvania and Arizona. She also worked for Warner Lambert (now Pfizer Pharmaceutical) conducting biological research and supporting regulatory affairs. Dr. Lachette founded White Haven Veterinary Hospital in 1994. Today it is a state of the art Hospital located on Rt. 940, one mile east of White Haven. The hospital is a full service facility, providing surgical, medical and emergency care to dogs, cat and exotics pets. Its sister facility in the same building, The Pocono Pet Lodge, provides boarding and grooming along with puppy and adult dog training classes. Dr. Lachette continues to own and operate the veterinary hospital and pet lodge. Dr Sharon and her husband George Veneroso reside in White Haven along with their dog, Lucca and cat Rocco. When Sharon is not working, she loves to take long walks with her husband and Lucca. She also loves to travel, cook and spend time with close friends.
