Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shields graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1963, and established Bethayres Veterinary Hopital, P.C. in 1964. He attends veterinary seminars at least twice a year, and has undergone extensive training in orthopedic procedures in Davos, Switzerland. Even after 50 years, he still enjoys the practice of veterinary medicine. He and his wife, Donna are active in feral cat welfare. Dr. Shields is an avid skiier, cyclist and tennis player.
