Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Anna Renier joined Allegheny Equine Associates in February of 2013. Dr. Renier is a native Minnesotan who traveled eastward for her undergraduate and graduate education. She attended Williams College where she majored in Biology and Psychology. She next graduated from Tufts University in 2008 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Her following year was spent in Ocala, Florida as an intern at Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital. She then journeyed west for specialty training in large animal internal medicine at the University of California, Davis. Earning her diplomate status as a large animal internist in 2012, she continued to the University of Minnesota as a post-doctoral associate. Thereafter, she joined the Allegheny Equine team. As a specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Renier holds particular interest in critical-care patients, infectious diseases, neonatal foals, and geriatric medicine. In addition to her interests in medicine, Dr. Renier maintains interest in lameness and performance- limiting conditions. When not on the job, Dr. Renier enjoys riding on the hunter/jumper circuit, photography, and a good book.
