Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Yurkon grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania. While earning his bachelor's degree at Wilkes University, he developed a passion for veterinary medicine and began working at a local veterinary hospital. It was here that Dr. Yurkon met his wife, Jennifer, a veterinary practice manager and certified technician. They moved to Colorado where Dr. Yurkon earned his Master of Science degree in Toxicology. During that time he was fortunate to be able to travel to Japan for radiation research. Afterward Dr. Yurkon went on to earn his MBA and veterinary degree from Colorado State University. The Yurkons recently moved back to Pennsylvania in order to be closer to their families. In their spare time, the Yurkons enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking with their two dogs Roo and Zoom. The Yurkon household is overseen by three cats, Chewy, Stinger, and Opal and a guinea pig Miss Pig. Dr. Yurkon is equally passionate about internal medicine and surgery. He enjoys working with clients in order to make the best decision for their family memeber.
