Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Howard Schatz is a native of New York City, having been born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens and having graduated from Jamaica High School. He attended Cornell University, receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology. In 1975 he graduated with distinction from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After gaining valuable experience working in other hospitals, including an emergency clinic, Dr. Schatz arrived in Massapequa in 1978. He and Dr. Fish purchased the Massapequa Hospital for Animals in 1982. Dr, Schatz is happily married and has 3 sons and 2 daughters. He is now also blessed with 4 grandchildren. His professional interests include internal medicine and practice management. He is an avid Yankees fan, enjoys family time and travel.
