Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hendrick has been an associate of LVAH since 1984, shortly after she graduated from Purdue University Veterinary School. Dr. Hendrick was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and moved here to New York after she graduated in 1984. She is a very compassionate, dedicated, respected and trusted doctor of veterinary medicine. We are proud to have her on our team. Dr. H, as she is called by staff members, loves the outdoors. Skiing, hiking, and kayaking are among her favorite hobbies. She loves to read, and eating chocolate is high on her list of enjoyments (especially M&M's)! She likes working at LVAH because of the people (staff and clients alike), but especially the pets. Besides treating cats and dogs, Dr. H enjoys treating pocket pets such as guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and mice, as well as rabbits and ferrets. The hardest thing for her is giving clients bad news. Dr. Hendrick receives her greatest source of satisfaction through her belief in Jesus. Dr. H has two adorable poodles, Corrie and Calvin, that can be a handful, but also a lot of fun for her and her husband.
