Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Andrey Dembitsky is the creator and director at Hylan Animal Hospital. He studied veterinary medicine at Kharkov Veterinary Academy(Ukraine) where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and graduated with Diploma with Honors in 1996. Upon graduation he completed externship in medicine and surgery at Lindsay Animal Clinic in Ontario, Canada. In 2000 Dr. Dembitsky moved to New York where he received extensive training in Small Animal Ultrasound Diagnostics. He joined Lefferts Animal Hospital in Queens in 2004 and is now excited to open a new hospital in Staten Island. Dr. Dembitsky is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Veterinary Medical Association of New York and New York State Veterinary Medical Society. He is a USDA accredited veterinarian and is certified to complete health Certificates for both Domestic and International Travel. Dr. Dembitsky has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He lives in Staten Island with his wife, their three children, two cats and a dog. In his free time he also enjoys bbqing, fishing, hiking, and reading.
