Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Katie Cox was born and raised in Albuquerque. She graduated from Eldorado High School knowing she would work with animals for the rest of her life. She enrolled at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces where she earned her bachelors degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry. She began working with cattle and other farm animals at NMSU and completed a summer internship at Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska. At Doorly, she focused on developing animal diets in the nutrition lab. She entered veterinary school at Colorado State University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. While at CSU, she interned at a large and small animal practice in Washington State.
