Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jessica Hagstette attended Lousiana State University and A&M college from 1995 thru 1998, studying animal science. She then attanded LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. At a young age, Jessica discovered her career interests by working as a kennel technician and then explored different facets of veterinary medicine through various jobs and volunteer positions. Her career roles include small animal, equine and livestock animal hospitals, both within private and university sectors. Dr. Hagstette has a special interest in theriogenology (canine reproduction). She is also PennHIP-certified which is a study of interpreting a series of xrays that can tell both pet owners and veterinarians alike vital information about the fitness of their canine. Along side canine reproduction, she also takes interest in internal medicine, endocrinology, ultrasound diagnostics and neonatal care. In 2002, Dr. Hagstette became an associate veterinarian at Craig Road Animal Hospital. Aside from her daily veterinary roles, she became head of the hospitals Veterinary Student mentorship program, which offers highly coveted externiship positions to veterinary students from across the country. In 2016, she became the Practice Manager for Camino Al Norte Animal Hospital, where she will continue to fulfill her duties by providing quality professional care for all patients and educating her clients to aid in their pets health and wellbeing.
