Veterinarian Overview
Sarah Jones holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of New Jersey, and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Most of all, Dr. Jones is elated to be a part of an amazing hospital team that truly cares about its patients and clients, and to serve a wonderful community of pets and people. She has areas of professional interest in behavior medicine and clinical pathology. In addition, Dr. Jones is Fear Free Certified in an effort to make veterinary visits a more pleasurable experience for pets and their owners. In 2007, Dr. Jones began shadowing an equine veterinarian. Eager to learn more, in 2009, she started working as a laboratory technician at an equine hospital and shadowed at a small-animal clinic until it was time to attend veterinary school. In 2016, she completed a student externship at Tranquility Veterinary Clinic. Beagles have been a part of Dr. Jones' family all of her life. It's her favorite breed! She currently has two beagles named Danny Boy and Sweetie, along with a menagerie of pets. Dr. Jones also cares for two horses named Charlie (a retired thoroughbred racehorse) and Charmer (a Chincoteague pony); three cats named Moody Meow, Ross Poldark, and Jingles; two goldfish named Ragnar and Rollo; and two beta fish named Dave and Oolong. Outside of the hospital environment, Dr. Jones enjoys crocheting, knitting, weaving, and other yarn crafts, and volunteering at Germania Park in Dover, NJ, a German-American culture club that holds events where the public can experience German food, dance, music, and traditions. She has also been a horseback rider for over 20 years.
