Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Zaid was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. His love of animals was cultivated at an early age by the many dogs and feline friends he grew up with. He pursued his undergraduate and veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his VMD in 2007. It was early in his veterinary training when he discovered his passion for small animal internal medicine.Following veterinary school, Dr. Zaid completed a rotating internship at Oradell Animal Hospital, and was subsequently accepted to the Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been published in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine and became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2011. Dr. Zaid spent a year following his residency as a clinical instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, and then went on to a private practice position at a specialty hospital in Manhattan before joining the team at AnimERge.Dr. Zaid resides in New Jersey with his two cats, Chessie and Miles, and is an avid sports fan.
