Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ryan Keegan attended the University of Notre Dame and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. He then completed a one year rotating internship at Oradell Animal Hospital. Dr. Keegans love for cardiology came after adopting an amazing little poodle named Boo with heart disease during veterinary school who eventually lost his battle after 5 years of friendship. He thankfully contributes the quality of Boos wonderful life to the expertise of several cardiologists and veterinarians over that time. So with a fascination for cardiovascular physiology and improving the quality of life of animals with heart disease, Dr. Keegan completed a 3 year residency in cardiology at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and received Board Certification (Specialty of Cardiology) in 2014. His goal is to provide the most accurate diagnosis, prognosis, and quality-of-life tailored treatment for your pets heart condition. Dr. Keegan enjoys swimming, the beach, and participating in rescue/shelter work. He resides with his wife and a loving pack of dogs and cats.
