Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schein graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in English literature, completed her pre-veterinary training at Columbia University, and received her DVM from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She worked at the ASPCA in New York City for more than 6 years, treating shelter pets, humane law enforcement cases of animal abuse, and client owned pets. She has been featured on Animal Precinct (on Animal Planet) as well as educational segments on local NY and national news channels. She practiced in South Florida for the past 11 years and is happy to be back in the Northeast as of 2016. Dr. Schein values client communication and education and enjoys the teamwork of helping pet owners make informed decisions about their petÂ’s healthcare. Dr. Schein spends her free time with her husband Robert and sons Ben and Matteo. She has a Labradoodle named Chance and a rescue mix named Masee. Dr. Schein enjoys hiking, running, traveling, cooking (and eating), and especially spending time with her immediate and extended family.
