Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Trachtenberg has been practicing small animal veterinary medicine since she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, but her interest in helping animals began in childhood. Dr. Trachtenberg was raised on a small hobby farm near Allentown, PA, with animals both large and small, and now lives in Lumberton, NJ with her husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rats, and 2 bearded dragons. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and behavior. In addition, she has volunteered her time and skills at spay/neuter clinics and at numerous shelters in the area. Dr. Trachtenberg believes it is important to keep current with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and enjoys going to continuing education conferences, so that she can provide the best care to her patients and clients. She also feels strongly about maintaining excellent client communication and ensuring her clients clearly understand their pet's health needs, and she welcomes facilitating these interactions with her Spanish-speaking clients. When shes not working, she enjoys volleyball, traveling, strength training, hiking, and playing with her children and pets.
