Veterinarian Overview
Ever since she can remember, Dr. Suzy Brink has wanted to work with animals. She has fond memories of watching her great-grandfather feed barn cats on his Asheboro, North Carolina farm; ever since, shes wanted to learn more about the animals we share our lives with and how to provide a better life for them. Dr. Brink simply cant imagine doing anything else! A native of Raleigh, Dr. Brink began delving into animal medicine via a pre-veterinary program while she was still in high school. She then attended North Carolina State University to receive her degree in Zoology before earning her veterinary degree from North Carolina State Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Brink worked as a veterinarian at a local clinic for a year after graduation before joining the Falls Village Veterinary Hospital family in the summer of 1995. Now, shes the co-owner of the practice along with her business partner! Dermatology work is one of Dr. Brinks favorite aspects of her jobafter all, allergies are constantly present here in North Carolina. Shes also fond of internal medicine cases and educating clients on medical issues. Most of all, Dr. Brink enjoys getting to work with loving pet owners and their furry companions on a daily basis. Dr. Brink has three pets of her own at home. Ripleynamed after Sigourney Weavers character in Alienis a friendly dog without an aggressive bone in her body; Harri is the queen cat of the household; and Chili is an Indian Ringneck parakeet who chatters to anyone who happens to be in the room with him. When she has time outside of her work as a full-time veterinarian and practice owner, Dr. Brink enjoys cooking, trying out new recipes on her friends and family, traveling to other countries, and scuba diving. As of 2015, she has 48 dives under her belt and hopes to reach 100 in the next few years! Her favorite diving spot so far is the Little Cayman islands in the Caribbean
