Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amanda McNutt graduated from St. Georges University in 2009. While attending veterinary school, she met her husband, who happened to be from Maine, and who is also a veterinarian. Dr. McNutt grew up in Staten Island, NY and obtained her Bachelor of Science from CUNY College of Staten Island while working full-time as a technician at a local animal hospital. After graduating veterinary school and finishing their clinical year in Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr. McNutt and her now husband moved to Vermont where they got married and both worked in different small animal veterinary hospitals. She recently moved to Maine with her family and joined the Salmon Falls Animal Hospital team as Medical Director to become more involved in a nice, quaint community. She also loves being closer to the ocean and having more access to larger cities where she can explore. Dr. McNutt enjoys spending her day sharing ideas with clients regarding how they can work together to better a pets health. She also likes to work closely with staff to create a positive and enjoyable work environment. Her focus is on surgery and preventative medicine, and she truly loves the variety of medicine that comes with working in a general practice. Along with her husband, Dr. McNutt has three beautiful daughters. Beyond work and raising her girls, she enjoys hiking, running and skiing. Dr. McNutt is a very busy and energetic person that always has a smile on her face. She loves living and raising her kids in Maine while working in the community of South Berwick. Besides her two legged family members, she also has three happy dogs from Grenada, Tennessee and Vermont as well as two housecats that help add to her daily excitement.
