Veterinarian Overview
Dr. De Meo is the newest veterinarian on our team. She graduated from Oklahoma State Universitys Center for Veterinary Health Sciences in May 2014 and moved to Maryland shortly after. During veterinary school, she worked in the universitys large animal intensive care unit, providing overnight care to hospitalized horses, cattle, small ruminants and camelids and gaining valuable technical experience. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. De Meo received her Bachelors in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire while working as a technician in a mixed animal practice.Her large animal interests include preventive care and medicine for backyard farm animals, reproduction, and equine lameness and rehab. She enjoys beef cattle medicine and eating steak. On the small animal side, she enjoys preventive medicine, behavioral medicine and caring for pets through all life stages. Her favorite -ology is neurology. Dr. De Meo currently shares a home with two of the worlds cutest dogs an Icelandic Sheepdog named Noelle, and an Oklahoma Street Dog named Chevy. Together, they enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities, such as agility courses, fetching tennis balls, camping and hiking.
