Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Julie Scaccia is one of the owners of Rock Spring Veterinary Clinic. She is a graduate of the University of the Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Scaccia has practiced veterinary medicine in Georgia, Virginia and Florida. After time spent in Florida, she realized she missed seasons, cool weather and the other benefits of the northeast and was led to Maryland to fulfill her dream of practice ownership. While proficient in all areas of veterinary medicine, Dr. Scaccias areas of special interest include: internal medicine, surgery, ultrasonography, oncology and small mammal (ferrets, rabbits, rodents, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, chinchillas, guinea pigs) and reptile medicine. Dr. Scaccia remains committed to an exceptional standard of care, personal relationships and individualized medical care for your pets. She continuously pursues opportunities in continuing education and ways to exceed client expectations. She is honored to be leading the team of Rock Spring Veterinary Clinic.
