Veterinarian Overview
Dr. David Gatz is the proud owner of Broadway Veterinary Clinic, which he opened in 1991. As a general practitioner, Dr. Gatz knew that he wanted to become a veterinarian from an early age. He wanted to follow in his father and grandfathers footsteps. They were both veterinarians who passed on their passion for veterinary medicine and their love of caring for animals to him. As a native of Kansas, Dr. Gatz attended Kansas State University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science in 1980. He then continued on to receive his veterinary education at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. As an esteemed veterinarian, Dr. Gatz is involved in many different organizations. He is proud to serve as a board member of the Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Gatz also has a busy life at home. Dr. Gatz is married to Cindy, the bookkeeper here at Broadway Veterinary Clinic. They are the proud parents of two children, Bethany and Aaron. Dr. Gatz also has quite a few pets to keep him busy. He has three dogs including a Border Collie Mix named Cheerio, a German Shorthair Pointer named Tucker, and a Hound Mix named Sybill. He has a cat named Pepe Le Pu and several chickens. In his spare time, Dr. Gatz enjoys reading and playing golf.
