Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schrader, a native of Great Bend, graduated from Kansas State University in 1957 with degrees of Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. His professional career spans 50 years--two years in Iowa and Arkansas, followed by most recent 48 years in his hometown, Great Bend. He was selected as the 2013 Kansas Veterinarian of the Year by the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association. After hours will find him spending 'quiet time' at home with Maggie May, an English Setter, visiting with friends and family, in Manhattan as a Wildcat fan, on a trout stream with a fly rod, or just being an old-fashioned homebody.
