Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Stephen L. Sollman is a native of Fort Branch, Indiana. He was raised on a small farm just outside of town, where his father raised hogs, cattle, and grain crops along with a primary job in the post office. He was encouraged to be involved in the farm work and became familiar with "chores" at a young age. The early exposure to livestock, dogs, cats, and farm life led to an interest in veterinary medicine as a career. Upon graduation from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 he was employed at Jennings Veterinarians as an associate veterinarian, becoming a partner in the business when Dr. Max Joseph retired in 1984. Dr. Sollman is active in community service, having served on various boards and committees in the Jennings County community. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, woodworking, winemaking, sports and other outdoor activities. He is a member of several professional organizations and has special interests in bovine medicine and practice management. He works in our practice as a mixed animal practitioner seeing food animal, companion animal and equine patients.
