Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amber Slaughter graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Upon graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Aurora Specialty Hospital. At the completion of her internship, she relocated to Seattle where she practiced small animal emergency medicine. A true Midwesterner at heart, she has recently returned to Chicago and she is very excited to join the team at Medical District Veterinary Clinic at Illinois! Dr. Slaughter is a lifelong athlete, and her favorite sport to play and watch is basketball. She also enjoys outdoor activities, baking, movies, theater, and listening to music. She shares her home with her Maltese Yorkshire terrier named Sadie.
