Veterinarian Overview
Dixie Reierson, DVM joined Frey Pet Hospital in 1989. She has a special interest in behavior, internal medicine, and nutrition. Growing up on a farm near Elgin in northeast Iowa gave Dr. Reierson firsthand experience with a wide variety of animals from a very young age, cementing her passion for the veterinary field. Dr. Reierson is married to her supportive husband Kurt, and together they have two grown daughters and one granddaughter. They share their home with a very athletic huntress feline, named Echo. Dixie can be caught attending the local theatre, reading, cooking, hiking, and enjoying her family in her free time. I enjoy so many aspects of my profession, it is very rewarding. says Dr. Reierson.
