Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sue Shivers became the new owner of Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in 2005. She earned her DVM from Iowa State Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Dr. Shivers grew up in central Iowa and practiced for several years at a mixed-animal practice in upstate New York, a small animal clinic in Burlington, and an emergency clinic in the Quad Cities before moving back to Iowa. She is very active in her personal life and enjoys running, riding, and climbing. Dr. Shivers has completed two Ironman competitions with her most recent conquest of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. She keeps up with her young son, two Golden Retrievers and an old-opinionated cat from New York.
