Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Johnson wanted to be a veterinarian from the time she was a little kid. As she grew up in the town of Rome, Georgia her desire to become a veterinarian also continued to grow. She completed her undergraduate work at Berry College in Rome, Georgia in 2008, where she obtained a BS in Animal Science. She then went on to complete her degree in veterinary medicine at the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She did a rotating internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital from 2012-2013 and then remained at Coral Springs Animal Hospital as a staff Emergency Veterinarian. She is a member of the AVMA and TCVMA. Her professional interests expanded to include preventive care and internal medicine after her working in emergency medicine. She also has an interest in alternative medicine. In her spare time, she and her fiance enjoy sailing, paddle boarding and most other water activities. They also enjoy spending time with fur family, a lab mix named Reef, a poodle mix named Captain, and two mischievous cats named Noah and Oliver.
