Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Stryjewskis fascination with Veterinary Medicine and animals started at a young age in Poland where his parents owned multiple dogs. Every single visit to the veterinary hospital was great experience for him, as was caring for exotic animals in a traveling circus. By the 5th grade Dr. Stryjewski had already decided to become a veterinarian, and in 1990 he became a student at the Veterinary Technician School in Lomza. Five years later he finished as a licensed technician with Honors, and in 1995 was accepted into the Veterinary program at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olztyn, Poland. Beginning as a new husband and father, but with the support of his wife and family, after another five and a half years he became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Dr. Stryjewski immigrated to the USA, and having passed the requisite National exams is currently licensed as a Veterinarian in Connecticut, and is now the newest addition to the Schulhof Animal Hospital Team. He has special interests in preventive medicine, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and laser therapy. He holds memberships in the Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the Polish Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his private life Dr. Stryjewski enjoys spending time with his wife Hanna, son Patryk, and dog Remy which he adopted from WASA in Westport. He also loves basketball and soccer as well as hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and riding his motorcycle.
