Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Samantha Mazzucola recently joined Connecticut Veterinary Center as an associate veterinarian in Hartford in July 2015. She grew up near the jersey shore in Middletown, NJ and continued her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut in Storrs graduating magna cum lade in 2007 with a double major in Animal Science and Pathobiology. She was lucky enough to be accepted into veterinary school immediately following college and attended Iowa State University. During that time, she was elected into Phi Zeta, The National Veterinary Honor Society and graduated cum lade in 2011. After graduation, she pursued her passion for mixed animal medicine and accepted a job in New Hampshire, where she worked for four years. Here she enjoyed being able to make house calls for clients and treated horses, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice and rats. She is excited to start a new chapter in her veterinary career. Dr. Mazzucola enjoys running, kayaking, hiking, reading, baking and relaxing at the beach. She currently has a Pointer mix named Tovin and two cats, Oliver and Zoey.
