Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Elizabeth A. Lutz received board certification in ophthalmology from the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2017. Her clinical interests are diverse, and include the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, lens surgery, corneal surgery, retinal surgery, novel treatment of tear film diseases, infectious disease ophthalmology, and exotic animal and equine ophthalmology. Dr. Lutz obtained her DVM from Cornell University in 2007 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 with a BA in English. At Long Island Veterinary Specialists, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery (2008), followed by a specialty internship in ophthalmology (2009). In 2010, Dr. Lutz completed a research fellowship in comparative ophthalmology at The Ohio State University, where she also completed her residency in comparative ophthalmology, and received an MS in comparative veterinary medicine with an emphasis in comparative ophthalmology in 2013.
