Veterinarian Overview
An avid traveler, Dr. Barchas has studied lions in Botswana and salmon in southern Chile. In 2008 he joined NPVEC as a full time staff veterinarian. Dr. Barchas is also the resident veterinarian of Dogster and Catster. Since May of 2005, he has provided insightful and thoughtful answers to questions from members. His professional advice has added greatly to the wealth of pet health information on Dogster.com and Catster.com. Dr. Barchas has a special interest in small animal internal medicine, emergency medicine, dentistry, hospice and wellness. He spends his spare time traveling, camping, playing tennis, and working on his blog and his website. He fantasizes continuously about his next epic overseas adventure.
