Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Steve Amaro has been a partner at Evergreen Veterinary Clinic since 1984. He was born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana and received his Veterinary degree from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he participated in an internship and residency in Neurology at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He has known he wanted to be a veterinarian since he was little and truly feels that it is the best profession anyone could do. If he wasn't a veterinarian he would be a teacher for children with special needs. Dr. Amaro is married with 2 children, one is currently attending the University of the Pacific and the other works as a receptionist at Evergreen. When not busy at Evergreen Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Amaro enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, playing golf and riding his Harley with his wife. He currently has 1 adopted dogs and 2 adopted cats from NARF.
