Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Raffy Dorian was born and raised in Fresno, CA. He studied animal science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from U.C. Davis in 1996. He also went on to complete a Masters in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from U.C. Davis in 2000. Dr. Dorian has been in private practice since graduation from veterinary school. His interests include internal, preventative and emergency medicine. Dr. Dorian is the Medical Director of VCA Market Street, a small animal clinic in downtown San Diego and Mobile Veterinary Practice an equine and small animal ambulatory/house call practice in San Diego County. He was also an owner of WindanSea Veterinary Clinic in La Jolla from 2003 to 2011. Dr. Dorian enjoys all types of outdoor activities and playing the guitar. He and his wife have two dogs and three horses. Dr. Dorians past activities include advising the U.C. San Diego Pre-Veterinary Student Association. He has assisted over 20 students in attaining admission into veterinary school throughout his career. Dr. Dorian has been a guest lecturer for the animal health department at San Diego Mesa College, a guest on San Diego Living XETV, Good Morning San Diego KUSI TV and The Show 105.3 FM radio on pet related subjects. He has also been a consultant for the American Humane Association Film and Television unit insuring the safety of animal actors on motion picture and television productions. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association and San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association.
