Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Slusser received his DVM degree from Washington State University. Following his residency at Michigan State University, he stayed on as an assistant professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine. He founded Animal Internal Medicine in San Diego in 1989, which merged with Veterinary Surgical Specialists in 2009 to become VCA Animal Specialty Group. Dr. Slusser sees referrals in all aspects of internal medicine and oncology, including cases involving cardiopulmonary disease, major organ dysfunction, infectious and hematological disease, gastroenterology and endocrine disorders. Dr. Slusser is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
