Veterinarian Overview
A native of Orange County, Dr. Allison Habekost attended veterinary school at Kansas State University. During her veterinary education, Dr. Habekost spent two summers in East Africa, studying veterinary medicine, working with injured wildlife and taking additional coursework focusing on wildlife conservation medicine. After receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Habekost returned to Orange County to be close to her family and friends (and escape the cold winters in Kansas!) Upon her return, she completed a rotation at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital, treating patients in the area of internal medicine, surgery, oncology, cardiology and neurology- as well as emergency and critical care. Dr. Habekost enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of animals. When away from work, she relishes spending time with her boyfriend and attending spin classes. She also loves to spoil her cat, Tater, and enjoys taking her greyhound-lab mix dog, Jaax, for walks at Dana Point Harbor and hikes in the hills of San Juan Capistrano.
