Veterinarian Overview
Matthew Vogel was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He attended Auburn University for his undergraduate career where he studied Animal Sciences/Pre-Vet. He then decided to stay another four years to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Vogel worked throughout his high school and college career as a veterinary assistant at a clinic located in his hometown on his breaks from school. After graduating from veterinary school, he moved all the way out to southern California to begin practicing veterinary medicine. His specific interests in veterinary medicine include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging and internal medicine. Dr. Vogel has had the pleasure of working for multiple rescue and rehabilitation organizations. He greatly enjoyed working at the Southeaster Raptor Center, a raptor rehabilitation program in Auburn University, the past 6 years treating and rehabilitating local birds of prey. He also participated in an international organization, World Vets, where he has traveled to Central America to provide veterinary medical care to the local pet population.
