Veterinarian Overview
Early on I was drawn to Sports Medicine, but like most young adults, I was unsure of the direction I wanted my career to take. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences with a Specialization in Athletic Training and passed the Board Exams to become a Certified Athletic Trainer. I continued my education to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. I practiced as a physical therapist for 12 years and passed the Board Exams to become Manual Therapy Certified.Yet, again, I desired additional professional growth. I have always been an animal lover and grew up with pets. In 2011, I began applying my skills to animal rehabilitation. I completed a series of speciality courses to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. Since then, I have been practicing solely on non-human patients--and loving it!I have published articles on cat, dog, and exotic animal and rabbit rehabilitation techniques. I also am a lecturer and consultant for various rescues and on-line disabled animal groups. In addition, I have written an on-line Animal Rehabilitation continuing education course for physical therapists through The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.I am proud to be invited to join the amazing team of veterinarians, technicians, and assistants at Limehouse Veterinary Clinic.
