Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ivan has been practicing compassionate veterinary medicine for over 14 years. Where to take your best friend for their health care needs can be a tough decision, and we understand the importance of getting to know, and developing a trusting relationship with, your pet's doctor. Dr. Ivan was born and raised in Khotyn, Ukraine. He is the youngest of three siblings and his father was a veterinarian as well. His natural instinct for the care of animals has been present since he was a young boy, and he continues to share this quality with his clients today. He attended Podilsky State University in Ukraine, where he received his doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2000. After completing school, Dr. Ivan practiced veterinary medicine in Ukraine for four years. He then immigrated to New York and became licensed as a doctor here in the United States. In 2010 he moved to California and continued to utilize his love of veterinary medicine at a clinic in Hesperia. In February of 2014, Dr. Ivan purchased Corona Community Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Strathman. Opening its doors in 1990, the practice in Corona was off to a wonderful start, with faithful clients following Dr. Strathman from his previous practice in Orange County, many of whom still bring their pets in today. Since opening, Dr. Strathman has enjoyed so many wonderful relationships with his patients, and their families. Dr. Ivans goal is to continue this tradition and to always be focused on pets as members of their owners' families, and his fulfillment in his career comes from the nurturing of those special relationships. His special professional interests are in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, emergency care and dentistry. In additional to the exciting purchase of Corona Community Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Ivan is married to his wife Oksana and they have a son Yuriy. Outside of the office Dr. Ivan enjoys traveling, sauna, playing chess and spending time with his family including his adopted diabetic cat Tolstiy. Schedule an Appointment with Dr. Ivan today.
