Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amy Schantz is a proud Chico native. During her final year of high school Dr. Schantz started working for Evers Veterinary Clinic. While working at Evers Dr. Schantz attended California State University, Chico where she received her undergraduate degree in General Biology. After completing her undergraduate education Dr. Schantz moved to southern California to attend Western University of Health Sciences for veterinary school. In June 2014, Dr. Schantz graduated from veterinary school and soon after she completed an optional one-year rotating internship at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. Upon completion of the internship Dr. Schantz was elated to find out Evers Veterinary Clinic was looking for a new associate veterinarian, and gladly accepted the position when it was offered to her. Dr. Schantz is extremely happy to rejoin the team at Evers Veterinary Clinic as their newest associate veterinarian. In her spare time Dr. Schantz enjoys hiking with her husband and is an avid horseback rider. She also plays on a recreation volleyball team, and enjoys cooking, baking, and sewing. Dr. Schantz and her husband Joe share their home with five furry friends (three cats, a dog, and a horse). Dr. Schantz and her husband are very happy to be a part of the Chico community and are looking forward to setting down roots in this wonderful town.
