Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Korn is originally from Southern California but has lived various places in the States and around the world. He graduated with a DVM degree from UC Davis in 1986. His first position as a veterinarian was in a mixed animal practice (dogs, cats, beef, dairy, sheep, goats, llamas), in the Appalachian hills of south-east Kentucky. This is where he earned his undergraduate degrees and where his wife's family lived. After working there, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky for four years, Dr. Korn, along with his wife Tamira and young children Josh and Jessica, picked up and moved the family to Togo, West Africa. There under the auspices of a non-profit organization, he provided animal health care and education in rural villages. Following that five year adventure, he worked as a small animal practitioner in Louisville, Kentucky for two years. This lead him to 13 years living in Israel, working as a small animal veterinarian while simultaneously working in a 40 doctor, country-wide, Dairy/Large Animal practice named HaChaklait. Dr. Korn's region was the southernmost boarder area of the country in the Negev Desert. Returning to California in 2010, Dr. Korn worked in Orland for three years in a mixed, (small animal and dairy), practice. When not working, Dr. Korn enjoys exploring places near and far with his wife, especially mountains, lakes, rivers, and the ocean, as well as good music venues. He is an avid reader, enjoys walking and jogging as well as motorcycle rides along deserted country roads. He lives with his wife Tamira, his mother Michelle, their three dog-kids, (Shadow, Lucy, and Rocky), and their cat-kids, (Jake and Jazzi). Their real son Joshua lives in Niger, West Africa with Julie and son Leon. Their real daughter Jessica lives in Asheville, North Carolina.
