Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Randy Nehlig was born and raised in Chalmette, LA - a small town outside of New Orleans. He performed undergraduate work at Louisiana State University before attending the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in June of 2006. After working as a small animal practitioner in Wake Forest, NC for three years he moved to Asheville to continue his career. Dr. Nehlig practiced in Asheville at other small animal hospitals for eight years before joining the professional staff at The Animal Hospital at Reems Creek in April of 2018, bringing with him a wealth of experience in both medicine and surgery for companion animals. His interests outside of the hospital include gardening, landscaping, outdoor activities, cooking, and playing piano. Dr. Nehligs current household includes a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Wong Dei (The King).
