Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jessica Boudreaux-Milligan has had a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. She began shadowing an equine veterinarian at the age of 10, when she had her first horse, a Thoroughbred mare. During high school, her first job was as a veterinary assistant in the St. Louis, MO area. She continued working as a veterinary technician while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science (pre-vet) at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.Jessica later earned her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Saint Louis University in 2007. She practiced medicine in the St. Louis area in the fields of cardiothoracic surgery and emergency medicine before deciding to continue her studies in veterinary medicine in 2010. Dr. Milligan is a 2014 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Her husband, Brian, and she have moved to Florida in May 2016 as a result of her husbands career. As a native Cajun, she visits home (Raceland, Louisiana) and her family as often as possible. She has lived in the St. Louis, MO area for the last 20 years with her husband, and their Great Dane, Miles, their cat Bailey, and their American Paint Horse, Gaienne (Cajun French for girlfriend). She is an active runner, competing in half-marathons (and not so-frequent marathons), and previously participated in Western Pleasure and equine fun shows in Missouri.
