Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michelle Dulake was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up with many pets including dogs, cats, a hamster, a rat, a turtle, and even a cockatiel. She always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age, answering the famous question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" with "animal doctor" in her 5th grade yearbook! She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Following veterinary school, she completed an intensive Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Dulake also graduated from the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program sponsored by CVMA, CSU, and the OneHealth Scientific Integrative Medicine (SIM), and now practices acupuncture on dogs and cats. All her life, Dr. Dulake has enjoyed the outdoors and hobbies such as snowboarding, hiking, camping, biking, and running. She also loves traveling, with some of her favorite memories being in South Africa, Peru, and South Korea. Above all, she loves being with her family, friends, husband, and her precious dog, Pippa, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Dr. Dulake has a deep love and understanding for our companion animals. She will be there for you every step of the way showing compassion, support, and empathy.
