Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Spillers is a San Antonio native and a graduate of the United State Air Force Academy. After having a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, he attended Texas A&M Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine to become a doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM).Dr. Spillers has always shown a great compassion for animals, including the human kind, and the furry, feathered, and even scaley friends. Over the past 40 years, he and his wife, Kris, have opened their home and their hearts to many children outside of their own six children, to be exact. He and his wife found great join in providing them with a stable, loving family environment and giving them support when they needed it most. With the curiosity of a cat, Dr. Spillers enjoyed sharing his intrigue for life, music, science, and sports to encourage and mold each child into confident adults, who are now thoroughly engaged with life, family and community.It is sometimes said that the veterinarian is the other family doctor. In an effort to continue the honored tradition since 1968 that is Town & Country Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Spillers proudly took the helm in 2003, and continues to provide medical services for his communitys many animal family members. He has expanded Town & Country Veterinary Hospital to provide caring medical, surgical, grooming, and boarding services 24 hours a day in order to serve his diverse community, and is the only 24 hour rgent care facility in his region.Dr. Spillers favorite furry canine daughter, Ginny, is often at the hospital to greet and entertain clients.
