Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ann Macfarland knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She began working at veterinary hospitals in high school and first started working at Loop 410 Veterinary Hospital in 1984 while an undergraduate at Texas A&M. In 1990, she graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Ann headed east to New Orleans where she practiced small animal and equine/racetrack medicine. The pull of Texas eventually brought her back home to San Antonio. She began working with Dr. Ray and his father in 1996 and became co-owner of Loop 410 Veterinary Hospital in 1997. She is very active in the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and served as TVMA President in 2008.
