Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jackson is an Austin native. After high school, she attended Texas A&M university at College Station and was accepted into Veterinary School after her junior year. She received her B.S. in 2000 and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After veterinary school, she settled down at a predominately small animal hospital in San Marcos, Texas, where she worked for 3 years. Since that time, she has filled in at a variety of hospitals including the Animal Emergency Room allowing other veterinarians to have some well deserved time off. She joined Animal Emergency Room in a more permanent capacity in 2013. Her interests include feline medicine, dentistry, geriatric care and emergency/critical care. She currently has a small zoo at home consisting of 3 cats, 3 dogs and multiple tanks full of fish including a small salt water tank. The current photo was taken spring of 2013 in Boerne with her dogs, Buddy - the blue heeler, Hunter - the German Shepard mix and Zorro - her San Antonio special as she calls him. In her free time, she enjoys spending time gardening, playing with her pets and training for sprint triathlons.
