Veterinarian Overview

Dr. Jackson is an Austin native. After high school, she attended Texas A&M university at College Station and was accepted into Veterinary School after her junior year. She received her B.S. in 2000 and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After veterinary school, she settled down at a predominately small animal hospital in San Marcos, Texas, where she worked for 3 years. Since that time, she has filled in at a variety of hospitals including the Animal Emergency Room allowing other veterinarians to have some well deserved time off. She joined Animal Emergency Room in a more permanent capacity in 2013. Her interests include feline medicine, dentistry, geriatric care and emergency/critical care. She currently has a small zoo at home consisting of 3 cats, 3 dogs and multiple tanks full of fish including a small salt water tank. The current photo was taken spring of 2013 in Boerne with her dogs, Buddy - the blue heeler, Hunter - the German Shepard mix and Zorro - her San Antonio special as she calls him. In her free time, she enjoys spending time gardening, playing with her pets and training for sprint triathlons.

She was horrible she kept telling us was to put our dog down because the care would be too hard m. When I asked what are some good things to feed my dog to take her medication her response was I already told you to euthanize her so do whatever you want Not only that my dog had sores on her butt and she recommend that we put baby Desitin on her which after taking her to another vet said that was the worst thing you could've done and actually made it worse. She said that our dog would have a poor chance at life When it's all another vet gave us the complete opposite story and our dog is on the path of being almost 100% walking again without surgery it without tons of money like Dr. Jackson I can't stress enough how horrible this vet was
