Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Albeisa Rut Garza was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is married to David Garza, and together they have four beautiful girls. Dr. Garza attended the University of Texas _ Pan American for her undergraduate studies. There she obtained a bachelors degree in premedical biology with a minor in chemistry. Dr. Garza taught high school biology and chemistry for about three years before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree.Dr. Garza became a veterinarian because she realized she had a passion to help animals in their time of need. She believes that being a veterinarian allows her to keep our society safe and free of zoonotic diseases that can harm the human population. She absolutely enjoys providing care for animals and providing support, education, and comfort to pet owners.She has a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. What Dr. Garza likes most about veterinary medicine is that it allows her to be an advocate for animals who are unable to speak for themselves. Her hobbies and favorite past time include scrapbooking, decorating, and spending time with family. She has two adorable pets. ñMilkshakeî is her eight-year old cocker spaniel, and ñVioletî is her four-year old adorable Yorkshire terrier.
