Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nancy Christensen, a native Houstonian and graduate of Lamar High School, completed her undergraduate degree at Tulane University. Ties to Houston brought her back to the city where she pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Christensen completed her DVM from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Christensen has a long history with the Cat Veterinary Clinic. As a child, she and her mother would bring their family cats to see Dr. Pennings, the original owner of the clinic. Later on she worked as a full time vet technician for Dr. Runt_ at the clinic and got to know many of the patients who would eventually become her patients as a veterinarian. Dr. Christensen loves the relationship she builds with her patients and their owners.Dr. Christensen is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Harris County Veterinary Medical Association.Dr. Christensen and her husband have three children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats _ it's never a dull moment at their home. They love doing outdoor activities. When Dr. Christensen is away from the clinic you might find her with her family taking walks or riding bikes around Houston. The destination of these family outings is often one of the museums, the Hermann Park Railroad (the sons' favorite activity) or the Houston Zoo. Their daughter loves all creatures and is always asking for more animals - the latest request being that of a skunk! Let's hope Mom can escape that request.
