Veterinarian Overview
Associate Veterinarian Dr. Kate Kirby, has been with Bayou City Veterinary Hospital since 2016. Born in Houston, Texas, she graduated from Auburn University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she excelled as an event planner/catering director for a prestigious country club in Kentucky. Although she has always possessed an unyielding passion for helping others in need, she realized even at an early age that her true calling was helping animals. During her senior year at Auburn, she was recognized by the Simmons Educational fund for her outstanding excellence, and received the Simmons Business Aptitude Award. As a Veterinarian, she enjoys dentistry, surgery, dermatology and especially new puppy/kitten exams. She is the lucky mom of her fur-kid Finnegan (Finn), a border collie whose lovable disposition has made him a clinic favorite. Outside of being a proud neighborhood vet, she thoroughly enjoys traveling, running, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
