Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Fields grew up in north central Texas and in 2005 completed her undergraduate studies in wildlife biology and chemistry at Southwest Texas University in San Marcos, Texas. In 2009, she received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. Following graduation, she completed a one year general medicine/surgery internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, followed by a one-year surgical internship with Ohio Veterinary Surgery and Neurology. She then completed a one-year cardiology internship at Ohio Veterinary Cardiology in Akron prior to starting her residency in 2012. Dr. Fields joined VMS of DFW in September 2015 offering cardiology appointments and emergency consults at our Uptown Dallas office. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her new Aussie puppy.
