I do not recommend the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas. They gave our wonderful pup, Mugsy extremely poor care! They did not give Mugsy the medicine needed to help him despite our pleas! They lied to us about it and they didn’t even have it in stock so we rushed it over to them the next day when we found out but it was too late! They didn’t get Mugsy’s surgical medical records which may have helped in saving his life and again we didn’t know this until 24 hours later so we got them but again it was too late! We also found out 24 hours later that they placed Mugsy in a small cage for O2 and they knew he had anxiety issues! They were suppose to try O2 through his nose if the situation worsened which it did yet they just kept him in that small cage for 24 hours which only worsened the situation. They gave us poor communication as well as they made it seem like a burden to update us on his condition as we always had to call to find out what was going on because we rarely heard from them as Mugsy was in critical condition.
Dr. Lauren Bodenhamer, was absolutely wonderful when we had an ER visit with our German Shepherd Kaizer. She correctly and swiftly diagnosed him with GDV. It was so sudden and an unbelievable tragedy. Her kindness and patience and thoroughly explaining all options and outcome helped us to make the best decision to let our sweet furbaby go. Her compassion for animals is is undeniable and she's a blessing to those in an emergency. The entire staff at Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas is top notch!
