Veterinarian Overview
A Lake Charles, Louisiana native, Dr. Meredith Ford Brassette joined the Main Street Veterinary Hospital team as a general practitioner in September 2013. "I've always loved animals, and I've wanted to go into medicine as far back as I can remember," she said. "I like being there for those who need a voice." Dr. Ford Brassette graduated from Louisiana State University with bachelor's degrees in both animal science and psychology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and behavior. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Ford Brassette shares her home with her husband, Kevin, who is a mechanical engineer, and their pets, Edgar (domestic shorthair), Bronwyn (Welsh Corgi), and Sadie (Border Collie mix). In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and pets.
